SiteOrigin Custom CSS File Location

9 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

Hi,
I read some posts about but were from a few months ago.
I’m kind of new in WordPress and I did not do a good backup, for example of my database. So, I figured out that I lost everything.
I backup my files from FTP but forget about WordPress Database. Anyway I lost everything.

My question here is you change something about the posts I read that Custom CSS file was stored in database and not exported in a specific file in the plugin’s folder.
Could you make that change? Would be awesome to know that because I had many lines of codes there.

Many thanks

Best regards
Nicolas

    Hi Nicolas

Sorry to hear about the hassle. I’m not quite following your request. Yes, in order to provide version history (revisions in the right column) and keep everything safely stored, your Custom CSS is kept in the database. It isn’t possible to change that behaviour. You could however copy the contents of Appearance > Custom CSS into a text file and manually back it up that way.
