SiteOrigin CSS – error notify

3 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 3 years ago

Hello guys,

I have been using this plugin since I developed my site and am very happy with it.
Today I recognized something very strange when I try to start it:

Normally, as I start SiteOrigin CSS, I push the “eye”- button above on the right site and my homepage apperars immediately for navigating/editing. If I do that, the plugin notifies me:
“”A critical error has occurred on your website”

Unfortunately there are no more information about and I cannot understand why, what is happening.

Please, can someone help me to solve this issue ? It would be great!!!

Many thanks in advance
Bye, Ernesto

    Hi Ernesto

    Thanks for posting your question.

We released an update for SiteOrigin CSS a few hours ago. You can check the version of SiteOrigin CSS you’re using by going to Plugins. If you’re using 1.5.5 is the issue persisting?

Hi Andrew, thanks for your answer

I have installed the Last Version and now it seems to be better . I can open the page correctly but it happens now another strange thing: as I set the Cursor on a wished object with the mouse, the focus stays about 1 second on that and next it moves automatically on another object, crazy 😆

Let me know il You Need more Information about!

    Bye

    Hello Andrew,

I have to correct my last statement, sorry. There is no automatic change of focus to another object. I recognized that if I move the cursor outside of the focussed object, the system changes with a big delay in focus.
If I move the cursor through the screen, it seems that the motion will be sequentially "saved" and CSS shows in focus one after another all touched objects by this motion. This effect was misleading!
Right now I can't explain this delay myself. Please could you also investigate this issue? I will also check my PC-memory management.

Thank a lot for your cooperation

    Bye

    Hi Ernesto

    Thanks for the update.

The CSS selector should only change if you click your mouse. If your move your cursor, the chosen selector won’t change from the last time you clicked. Does that help?

    Hi Andrew,

in fact, if I change position of the curson without clicking, the displayed CSS-text doesn’t change now. I believe , I can work with it!
Thanks a lot Andrew. Personally, the thread can be closed!

    Bye
