3 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 3 years ago

Hi,
Today I updated de SiteOrigin CSS plugin and suddenly all custom CSS style I had wrote previously don’t load on frontend. Now if I deactivate the plugin my CSS is back. I mean, if I activate the plugin CSS are “lost”, but if I deactivate CSS is back. It’s strange…
Please, can you help me figure out what’s happening?

Thanks.

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

SiteOrigin CSS styles shouldn’t persist after deactivating the plugin so that is strange. Do you have a URL when can check?

Sorry, I didn’t see the answer.
You can check at https://playadeosmo.com/ or https://www.sierralasolana.com/
SiteOrigin CSS plugin is now deactivated at both URL, but still “working”. Mysterious!

Hi, good to hear from you.

Normally, the SiteOrigin CSS stylesheet is output in the /uploads folder. I don’t see it there now at the first link. Are you seeing the SO CSS styles in the page markup/source code?

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Hi, Andrew,
As I can see, de so-css folder at uploads is empty.

    Hi, again.
I’m afraid it’s a permissions issue at hosting.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Are your hosting company perhaps able to assist with the permissions issue? I’ll ask Alex here at SiteOrigin. I don’t recall encountering this issue before.

    Hi, Andrew.
Yes, I send a notice to them. It’s strange because just these two websites are “affected”.
    Thanks!

Thanks for letting your hosts know. We use WordPress to handle file writes so it’s unlikely the issue relates directly to SiteOrigin CSS and might relate to a broader permissions challenge.
