SiteOrigin CSS does not ‘open’ and generates an ‘critical’ wordpress error

Hi, I have anew site with SiteOrigin Pagebuilder, CSS and Widgets bundle.
I have the same on another site, and there its working fine.

On this site not once I try op open the “Custom CSS” page, I get a message saying there was a citical error on mmy site and that I will receove an email about it.
While I have seen this in other cases working, in this case I do not receive any email.
The CSS editor does not open at all, the screen stays solid grey (with that error message on top)….
Tried uninstalling/re-installing the plugin

I have version 1.2.5 of SiteOrigin CSS installed/activated

How can I get SiteOrigin CSS to work??

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Joost

    If you have a bit of technical knowledge you could enable debug and debug log and find out what that error is. Here is how: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/.

    If the above isn’t possible, try finding a working baseline by temporarily deactivating all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin and see if the issue persists in that state.

    Thanls for the suggestion. I should have thought of that myself.
    This is the error I now see:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function filter_input() in /www/wp-content/plugins/so-css/so-css.php:430 Stack trace: #0 /www/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(288): SiteOrigin_CSS->display_admin_page('') #1 /www/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(312): WP_Hook->apply_filters('', Array) #2 /www/wp-includes/plugin.php(478): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /www/wp-admin/admin.php(254): do_action('appearance_page...') #4 /www/wp-admin/themes.php(10): require_once('/www/wp-admin/a...') #5 {main} thrown in /www/wp-content/plugins/so-css/so-css.php on line 430

    and this is what I have on that line 430 of so-css.php:

    $socss_post_id = filter_input( INPUT_GET, 'socss_post_id', FILTER_VALIDATE_INT );

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the update. Kindly, reach out to your web hosts, let them know the error and ask if the PHP filter extension is enabled for your site.
