SIteOrigin CSS

when using so-css plugin is installed it adds a +200mS to load even if the there is no css, just loading a blank file.?? this has adverse effect of pageload and gtmatrix, disabling the plugin improves the score, hence for production sites the so-css should be disabled.

it’s a good plugin to for newbie to fix the css issues, but once the issue is fixed and verified, move the code to a regular .css file and de-activate the plugin.

    Hi Srikanth,

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing performance issues. Can you please clarify what you’re using to measure performance?

    Hi Srikanth,

I’m having a hard time replicating this performance. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your website? This will allow me to run some tests.

Sure Buddy, https://tskamath.pactindia.net and for testing i have enabled the SO-CSS Plugin.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Srikanth,

Thanks. I’ve run a few tests what you’re experiencing and unfortunately, the issue you’re facing is as a result of your caching and minify configuration. As an example of the issue you’re facing, you can see in the above screenshot SiteOrigin CSS is completely downloaded and ready to be used after 120ms (which is a fairly typical request time) but being blocked 326ms.

You’ll need to adjust your minify and caching sets to prevent this. If you need help with doing this, I recommend reaching out to the support of the cache and minify plugins you’re using as they’ll be able to guide you in the right direction.

    Dear Alex,

the support is beyond expectation mostly but when it comes to real technical issue, regret to say the support is pathetic.

i have disabled autoptimize plugin the load time is now +600mS for an empty file..?? without Autoptimize plugin

the tskamath.pactindia.net is built on the products from SiteOrigin only, the gtmetrix scores are below par, and whatever we do does not go beyond 85,, why..? feel free to check the simple blog site https://tskamath.pactindia.net.

    Hi Srikanth,

That’s as a result of hitting the parallel connection limit – the typical limit is in the range of 12 – 18). Each request is a connection and a connection won’t free up until a request has been completed. You should be using a plugin like Minify.

WordPress leaves a lot of things up to plugins to handle which is why you require performance plugins like Autoptimize.
Our plugins aren’t replacements to cache or minify plugins.
