Hello!
I am using the Contact Form of the Widget Bundle Plugin, but it seems I just cannot set the settings: I filled the “To email address” box with an email but then there are no emails sent when I test it. Is there anything else I need to configure? I can’t find any documentation related to your SiteOrigin Contact Form.
Thank you!
V

By the way, awesome plugins! They help A LOT! :)

    Hi Victoria

Thanks for your support :) Documentation on the way as soon as we can.

Any chance emails are landing up in your Spam folder? This can be a common challenge with contact forms. I usually setup a filter to prevent them landing up in Spam. Could you perhaps try sending the form to another address that you have control over to confirm?

    Hi Andrew,

I have been checking my spam folder, as well as changing to other email addresses (always assuring they are well written). I have not received anything :(. Is there anything I need to configure in the server to send the emails?

You can take a look at the site, if you would like:

    Thanks a lot!

I ran some tests on the widget using a gmail account as the email to address, and all worked fine. However on another site recently I had a lot of problems with the clients server rejecting the mail as a result of a filter, because the site was hosted on a shared server which is always open to being blacklisted. I ended up using an smtp plugin, that means the form is sent through a gmail account which seems to have solved the problem. I don;t know if that is the problem but it may be worth a look.

    Thank you Phillip.
I installed some smtp mail plugins but they all return the same error: Extension missing: openssl.
I’ll try a private server (as this is a test site), maybe that way the problem is solved…?

    Hi, I Work Here

A workaround would be to use http://mandrill.com/. There is a WordPress plugin for Madrill that makes it easy to setup.
