Hi!
First of all, thanks for the great work and support. I’m enjoying the experience of working with you guys!
I’m using Vantage Premium together with Page Builder and SiteOrigin Widgets.
I’m developing my website locally and I want to make the migration to production as smoth as possible: I don’t want to have any hard-coded path that I had to change it later on in production.
Here is my issue: how can I use a function (as ‘site_url) or a variable that stores the site url in the ‘Destination URL’ field? If you have any other better solution, you’re very welcome!
Thanks in advance!

Just making a correction: the function to use would be ‘home_url’ and not site_url…

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi RHM

Thanks for your support, we appreciate it.

To my knowledge it isn’t possible to use a PHP in the url field. In the past I’ve manually replaced urls but I think find and replace would be the best way to move.

There are additional concerns when moving Page Builder content. Please seem my thread here: Thread: I’d like to move my website that’s using Page Builder, what’s the best method?. The short version is Duplicator plugin is the best way to move PB content: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Duplicator should hopefully handle your media url switching.

Thanks for the information. I’m already using Duplicator to backup my site although I’ve never used it to make a recovery or a migration. I’ll try using the first method as you’ve suggested in your thread.

    Hi, I Work Here

Ok, got you. That’s 100%. I unfortunately don’t know of a method to handle swapping urls. Perhaps a plugin? Here is something from WP Beginner: http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-update-urls-when-moving-your-wordpress-site/.

Thanks again, Andrew! It’s a very nice tip. I´ll definitively also check it out!
