SiteOrigin Bundle Crashing site

I recently updated SiteOrigin and once I did I could no longer upload pictures to WordPress. I found the solution to this was to make sure I had the latest version of WordPress and problem solved.

Since I have updated to the new WordPress I have a new problem. After every time I upload an image, the site gives me the message “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.” which persist anywhere from 10 mins to an hour.

I checked my php error log and this is the message I get “Backend log: PHP Warning: strpos(): Empty needle in /home/…/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/so-widgets-bundle.php on line 849n”

Any suggestions?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

Are you using Autoptimize? Does the issue persist if you temporarily deactivate Autoptimize?

    Hi Andrew,

I am using Autoptimize. I disabled it and am still having the same problem. Do you know anything else it could be?

    Hi, I Work Here

We haven’t encountered an issue like this in the past. I’ll chat with the team and see if they have any ideas as to what the issue might be. In the mean-time, please, try clearing all caching plugins and then temporarily deactivating all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin. Does the issue persist in this state? We’re basically looking to see if we can find a working baseline.

I cleared all the cache plugins and for the time being it seems to work better.
