Hi I have generated a website using Tesseract theme but I’m having trouble getting support for my problem, I’ve used Site Origin Page Builder and everything has gone real well. On the mobile phone the Home page is Ok but the other pages only display about a 1/3 vertically. Hope you can help.

Hey Paul
Thanks for reaching out.
I’m not immediately seeing the cause of the problem. Can you perhaps try creating a page and don’t use Page Builder. Insert dummy content and test it. That’ll let us know if this is definitely coming from Page Builder of if it’s a theme level challenge.
Thanks Andrew, I give that a go when I get to work tomorrow, it’s nearly bed time here in Australia. Have a great day.
For sure :) Chat when you’re next online.
Hi Andrew, sorry for late reply, I turned off all plugins and the website displayed across the (problem) pages correctly, I then turned on each plugin one at a time and the pages where fine until I turned on Page Builder, so I think Page Builder may be conflicting with the site. Home page always displays correctly. Thanks
Hi Andrew, I have now discovered that Page Builder was clashing with Beaver Page Builder, don’t know why Beaver Page Builder was on there to start with but it appears after deleting Beaver Builder to be working fine.
Awesome :) Really glad to hear you’ve made progress with this problem.
In future, with suspected plugin conflicts, when testing you can de-activate all plugins and then activate your target plugin first. So in this case I would have activated Page Builder first. If everything was “ok” I’d then start activating the rest of the plugins one by one.
All the best with your site :)
Hi Andrew, thanks for replying, for some reason the problem is still happening, don’t understand, when we deactivated Page Builder it was Ok (site didn’t look nice) and when we re-activated it it appeared to be Ok but now the problem is still there. Not displaying properly on iPad either, are you able to assist? Regards, Paul.
Have you tried running the original test I suggested?

Ok, I’ll do that today. Thanks.
Hi, Andrew, just when through your instructions. Turned off all Plugins, all site pages displayed Ok on mobile, re-activated Page Builder and problem came back, deactivated Page Builder then re-activated each Plugin one by one and tested, each time pages were Ok, reactivated Page Builder and problem came back.
Created a test page without the use of Page Builder, activate Page Builder, Test page was Ok and the other pages had the problem. What are your thoughts? Regards, Paul.
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Hi Andrew,
All done, Admin is set up, let me know how you go.

Here we go. This is from the Tan page second row, first Visual Editor:
It’s not possible to use fixed width’s in responsive design without dealing with them later. In this case you’d need to say something like:
You’d need to seek out all the instances where you’ve applied a fixed with like this and change over to using max width with 100% or alternative solution.
There could be other challenges but this is one of them.

Hi Andrew, thank you so much for your help, it’s woking great! I would never had worked that out for myself. Thanks again.
Super :) Glad to hear that helped. I should have looked for this from the beginning. In general, if you see a design break responsively in the way we did, check for fixed width elements. They are usually the cause.
All the best.
