Site Origin Buttons changed size after latest update

By Jesse, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

On my site after installing the latest site origin widgets bundle update, all of my buttons changed size according to the amount of text inside the button. So now they are all different sizes. When I go in to adjust the width of any particular button, the changes that I make do not go into effect even after updating the width of a button. Any ideas on fixing this? Thanks.

    Hi Jesse,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

  2. 7 years, 1 month ago Jesse

Yes, the URL is rvcsd.net or rvcsd.org whichever you prefer.Take a look at the buttons on the main page on the right side. Originally they were all the same width but after the update they changed size according to how much text is inside of them. Also as you do more navigating you will see many buttons of different sizes. Inside the widget the sizes are all looking correct however the actual buttons on the site are not reflecting that.

    Hi Jesse,

I’ve had a look at your buttons and there’s nothing in the markup that suggests that they should all be the same size. The buttons are actually how they are by default. To clarify, how did you previously get all of the buttons to be the same width? CSS?

I used the site origin button widget to specify each buttons size. Even now when I go in to a button to change the width, the button does not reflect the change no matter how big or small I make the width.

    Hi Jesse,

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for one of the button widgets? To do this open up the page with the widget and click Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

Hello, here is a link to the upload. https://u.teknik.io/WGGRz.json You should be able to see that most of the widths of the buttons are the same size however on the site the buttons are not the same size but rather they are sized according to how much text is inside the button. This happened after the update. Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jesse,

Thanks. The provided layout is fine and works for me without issue so I’m not too sure why it’s not working for you.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

You have been created and an email has been sent. Let me know if you have any issues logging in. You have been added to the test site which is an exact replica of the production site and is experiencing the same issues. Thanks again for your help.
