Site Not Scaling on mobile

Hi – I’ve created a site using Vantage, but it doesn’t appear to be scaling properly for mobile. For example, I have used the page builder to create a section with 4 columns of text, but they show underneath each other on mobile (looks fine online, here’s the site http://69.195.124.169/~flexsolu/ )

The ‘responsive’ box is checked in my theme settings BTW.

Any ideas welcomed.

Thanks and Regards,

Mike

    Hi Mike

Thanks for running Vantage. What you’re seeing is the default mobile behaviour. If you’d like to alter this you can try de-activating the responsive nature of Page Builder at Settings > Page Builder > Display > Responsive.

Hi, Andrew – thanks that seemed to work, but I’m a little confused – isn’t the point of making it responsive so that it scales properly for mobile? Just want to make sure we know how it’s looking when people visit.

    Hi Mike

This is a common responsive development technique that you’ll see most sites do. A row of containers would get very hard to read below a certain resolution. By creating a vertical column instead of a row, the containers can maintain text size and remain readable on a mobile device.
