Simple Masonry on Chrome and Safari

Hi, I’ve been happily using your Page Builder with excellent results for some time.
In a recent project, I’ve tried for the first time the Simple Masonry Layout module from the Widgets Bundle, and I’m seeing weird issues, with the images in the masonry displaced vertically or horizontally on Chrome and Safari. On Firefox and IE everything looks good (all latest versions).

But the weirdest comes when I tried to inspect the code and styles, and the problem vanished magically. Images rearrange when you activate the developers tools inspector in both Chrome or Safari. Changing the user agent in Safari works as well. Reloading the page usually shows the moved images again.

I’ve tried on several machines, macs and windows, with the same results. The web runs on Genesis Framework (theme Epik), but the problem can be reproduced on a clean wordpress and the default theme (at least on Safari, on chrome seems more stable). I’ve tried turning off all plugins except Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle, commenting all custom css, but nothing so far.

Thanks in advance

Well, I’ve found that the problem may be with that theme (Epik theme on Genesis Framework). On a generic Genesis everything looks fine, so I’ll use make a customized generic genesis for this project.
I’ve been able to reproduce some times the problem on a clean wordpress on generic themes, but not always. The issue for me is solved, and won’t spend more time on it.

I’m back here with the same problem again. Images in the masonry appear displaced on Chrome and Safari, but activating developer tools window all pictures rearrange instantly.

Now the project works on a generic Genesis theme, with some customized css, but shouldtn’t interfere with the plugin (as far as I can see).

Any help or suggestion to fix this?

    Hi Jordi

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Yes, you can check the web here: http://saborcomunica.com/scomunica_wp/

Aaah, I didn’t realize those grids were masonry widgets. They appear to be displaying properly for me. I’ll have some other people on the team take a look at this and see if they can spot the issue.

It’s weird, on Firefox all looks good, but on chrome and safari (and not always), that pictures appear displaced (vertically or horizontally). BUT if there is any sub-window open in the browser (like the developer tools, or the small notification to auto-google-translate the page) everything looks fine.

    Hi, I Work Here

Braam was able to see issue. We’ll try figure out if this is a bug in the Widgets Bundle.

If you add a Masonry Widget to a new, otherwise-empty page, do you still see the issue?

I’ve created a new test page, with only an one-column row and a simple masonry inside.
