Sidebar displaying on WooCommerce Shop Page

Hi

I’m using Vantage Template and am having difficulty supressing the sidebar on my ‘shop’ page http://dw.edwardmatheson.co.nz/shop/

I have checked the settings:

Page Attributes > Parent > (no parent)
Page Attributes > Template > Default Tempalte
Page Settings > Page Layout > No sidebar

The settings above are working for all of my other pages, unsure what is different about the ‘shop’ page that WooCommerce automatically generates on install.

I think that I’ve solved it (thanks to information here:https://siteorigin.com/thread/sidebar-not-showing-need-a-sidebar-in-my-woocommerce-shop-page/)

    • Appearance > Widgets
    • Ensure that the ‘Shop’ area is not empty (as mine was so the default sidebar widgets were displaying)
    • Place the ‘Woo Cart’ widget into the ‘Shop’ area
