How can I have sticky posts shown first in the list of an archive page?
Is there a menu setting provided I missed?
The url provided shows a number of posts, the one titled “SoaVis – An Introduction” is defined as Sticky and should be listed first.
Hi DeBAAT,
As far as I’m aware, the category should be displaying sticky posts first by default. Can you double-check that you’re getting the same behaviour in a default theme like Twenty Twelve? You can switch, check the archive page, then switch back to Vantage without losing any of your settings.
Another option would be to use this plugin to force sticky posts on that category.

Thanks for this response and the suggestion.
It also doesn’t seem to work with other themes as well.
So Ive googled some more and it seems that sticky posts are only supported on the home page.
Too bad ;-)
Have to look for another solution, maybe the plugin you suggested.

I'll let you know if I come across any solutions. It is a pitty that categories don't obey sticky. I didn't know that.
