7 years ago · Last reply by Support Assistants 7 years ago

Hay,

First of al love the SiteOrigin layout system. The only problem i have is that it doesent support shortcode’s.

I have done a lot of reading en “solutions” like using Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and using the Revert to Editor. With the last option the layout given bij SiteOrigin page builder is not working but the plugin is showing.

The plugin i want to use is Restaurant Reservations.

Is there a solution? or doe i need a nother page building tool or plugin.

Please help!

    Hi Dylan

    Thanks for posting.

It’s best to never use Revert to Editor unless you’re exiting Page Builder on the given page. If you’re still planning on using Page Builder on the given page then the revert button ideally shouldn’t be used.

Shortcodes work but it is dependent on how those shortcodes were constructed. In some cases, the manner in which the plugin developer has built the shortcode function might prevent it from working in Page Builder. As a test, try creating a page, add a SiteOrigin Editor widget to Page Builder and add a shortcode, if it doesn’t work then unfortunately, that’s usually something that needs to be resolved by the plugin creating the shortcode as there are most likely limitations on which widget areas the shortcode can be displayed in.
