Dear Site Origin Team,
there have been a couple of posts to this problem and the easiest advise was to use the Visual Editor. It looks like some short codes work with that, others don’t.
Depending on the page where they are put and when.
I have one page (Page 1) where I put the short code without the Page Builder (it is a short code from the plugin “Team”) and it worked nicely. I than switched to the Page Builder and was asked if I wanted to convert the page content into page builder. I confirmed and Pagebuilder created a Visual Editor widget with the short code as comment. Looking at the preview, the team displays just nicely.
Then I have the another page (Page 2) with three more widgets in the page builder. I inserted the short code into a newly added widget at the bottom. Now this is not displayed. Whether or not I update, leave the page, come back, update and preview or view the page. Nothing displayed.
I compared the versions in the layer text and they seem to be similar.
If I then add further widgets to page 1. And I can see the changes in the Preview. Hence, whilst I inserted the short code AFTER some widgets were already in the page, the short code does not get displayed. If I inserted PRIOR any other widgets, it displays.
Arrrrrgh! Please solve!

In initial testing I can successfully run the shortcode in both the Text and Visual Editors. The shortcode correctly renders if the Text/Visual Editor widget is the first widget added or if it’s added after adding other widgets. I’m not using the Preview button here at all. Have you tried taking that out of the equation? Just save the post, no Preview button?

I am pretty sure I did take the preview issue out of the equation. I don’t know really how often I updated, previewed, left the page entered back in, previewed…I don’t exactly remember if I tried with the view page though.
Anyway, today it works. I will let you know if this happens again.
