Set a menu link on a onepage website to an Inside page

9 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

My client’s site www.map-my-memories.com is a one-page site. (Thanks for that video, Ian Rossiter!) The menu works fine, with menu items linked to # anchor tags on the Front Page.

I would like to add an INSIDE PAGE to the site and put a link to it on the menu. ie. on the menus of both pages, a new menu item linked to the new page and the other items linked to their anchors on the Front Page.

How can I do that so the menu links work when I am on the inside page? I put up a testpage. The anchor links in the menu on that page go to, for example
map-my-memories.com/testpage/#about
But obviously I want it to go back to the Front page anchor as
map-my-memories.com/#about

Will appreciate any advice here.
Thanks.

I should add I gave the link URL as
    http://www.map-my-memories.com#about
in appearance > menus > menu structure > URL

This did take me back to the Front Page, but not to the # anchor. A click on the menu on the Front Page DOES take me to the # anchor tag.

    Hi Len

Thanks for reaching out. If you still need help, please, could you confirm the link to your second page, the link listed above, /testpage/ doesn’t seem to exist anymore. We’ll do our best to assist once we can view it. Thanks :)
