I notice changes every few days for siteorigin widgets in:
wp-content/uploads/siteorigin-widgets/sow-button-wire-aaa892f9cf97.css

There will be four for the same widget changing at the same time no admin input.

All this is going on in wp-content/uploads.

Is this normal? Is this a hack? Is there a security hole in the widget?

Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Allfive,

This is perfectly normal. Basically, the stylesheet needs to regenerate, for whatever reason, and that’s why the files are being recreated. Reasons for this happening is widget adjustments, page adjustments, plugin updates or quite simply enough time has passed.

Thanks very much, Alex. I’m relieved to read your reply. :)

I apologize for the dramatic title. I was administering a site that another person had built and we did have a hack. In cleaning it up I noticed those regularly occurring css changes in /uploads. Thinking they may be part of the hack, I deleted them (after backing them up) but they did regenerate. So I wasn’t sure what was going on. Now I understand.

    Thank you, again.
