Script in widget causes errors

By Malissa, 9 years ago. Last reply by Magus, 9 years ago.

Hi, I am trying to put this script in a pagebuilder widget but it causes errors. It works fine in WP’s widgets though?

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://.../bookingPanel?javascript"></script>

Any ideas please?

    Hi Malissa

If you are placing this in a Visual Editor Widget you will need to do so in Text view. Please try this and let us know how you get on

Same error regardless of visual or text view.
Can I wrap it brackets or something? It is weird that it works fine in a normal wp widget.

    Hi Malissa

There should be no reason for that to fail. Would it be possible for you to provide a public URL to the page where you have inserted this outside of pagebuilder. If you need to keep this private you can select ‘Private Reply’ at the bottom of the comment box.

If possible could you also supply the unedited script tag in a private reply so we can test?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for your offer to help. I’m pretty sure my hosting is blocking instances.
However I have found that it does work perfectly when I ‘view site’ and when the site is live, it is just the ‘live preview’ that throws up an error when the script or nested shortcodes are on the page.

    I can live with that.

    Thanks again.
