Row Styles – uncontrollable?

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

I am just getting started with Page Builder, following the beginner’s documentation at
https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/documentation/.
I am working with a Twentyfourteen child theme.

I have my home page set up as in your example: 3 rows, 1 each of single column, double column and triple column. The top rowstyle (single column) is “Standard” and way too tight.
The second row (double column) is “full width” making the block extend well beyond the page but the columns are still too tight.
The third row (triple column) is “full width stretched” and both the block and columns extend well beyond the page.

I am unable to find any documentation or post that addresses managing the width of blocks, columns or this issue of row style. I hope someone can help. I am new to WordPress too.

    Hi Barrlu

    Thanks for reaching out.

For Twenty Fourteen standard row layouts will be the best option. Row layout isn’t the control you’re looking for to add spacing. To adjust spacing I’d recommend adding padding. To adjust padding, edit the row and click Layout, try adding a value to the padding field as see if that helps. You can also adjust bottom margin per row.

If you’d like to make global changes, head over to Settings > Page Builder > Layout.
