I am using a series of mortgage calculator supplied by our finance industry body here in Aus. The examples they gave us means a new page for each and every calculator, i.e 20 pages. I thought there had to be a better way and introduced an iframe to a single page. The problem I have encountered is that on a mobile device the calculator doesn’t resize and fit into the window, It gets truncated. Is there anyway to get the iframe to resize on a mobile device?
My site is denariusfinance.com.au/calculators and doesnt resize. An example of a site that is a single page and does re-size is http://www.rooloans.com.au/loan-repayment-calculator/.
I would really like to avoid having 20 individual pages.
The code I used is as follows.
Calculators:
Budget Planner
Borrowing Power
Comparison Rate
Credit Card Calculator
Extra Repayment
Home Loan Offset
Honeymoon Rate
How Long to Repay
Income Tax
Leasing
Loan Comparison
Loan Repayment
Lump Sum Repayment
Property Buying Cost
Property Selling Cost
Reverse Mortgage
Savings
Split Loan
Stamp Duty Calculator
Term Deposit
Hi Adam
Unfortunately, in this case, it would be up to the iframe content itself (in this case, the calculators), to have the necessary CSS to resize based on their width.
There are solutions that you could use on your site, like this one – https://github.com/davidjbradshaw/iframe-resizer – but integrating this would require a fair amount of developer time and I’m not even 100% sure it would give you the results you’re after. If you want to go this route, you could hire someone on https://codeable.io/ to help you out.
