Hello
I am using all of the great SiteOrigin plugins and the Unwind theme. Great job!
I am having a problem removing these thin white horizontal lines on my front page. One line appears right below the menu header and spans the entire width of the page. I am using a sticky menu and I have added a background color to the header.
My Header looks like this:
myLogo Shop Help Cart
_____________________________________________________________________ <- THIS IS WHITE AND I WANT TO REMOVE
The second thin white horizontal line appears below the footer. I have added a background color to the footer also using CSS.
Also by the Footer title names, there are white lines with the title text in the center.
My Footer looks like this:
—- ABOUT—-COMPANY INFO—-SIGN UP—- <-THESE DASHES ARE SOLID LINES, WANT TO REMOVEmy
___________________________________________________div li a {
font-size: 16px;
}
#colophon .site-info {
background-color: #2E3649;
}
Thank you!
Hi Stella
Thanks for reaching out and for your support.
Please, see Page: CSS Snippets. There are a few different options provided for moving all borders or just certain borders. Hopefully, that helps.
Thanks so much Andrew.
I have run searches on the forum and found wonderful help, but I never have seen the css snippets page. I was finally able to remove the Footer title lines (or rather “”border”” as its called in the code). Yay!
Would you point me in the right direction in removing borders off a list of product categories? I have the product category list widget in the footer and I have narrowed it down to this:
.cat-item.cat-item-22
.widget_product_categories
border-bottom
But I am not sure of the exact code.
Thanks again
Hi Stella
I’m glad to hear you’re making progress.
You’d create a new rule in your Custom CSS as follows:
#secondary .widget.widget_categories ul li { }
. Within the rule you’d setborder-bottom: none;
.Our free support scope, unfortunately, doesn’t normally include Custom CSS assistance. We’re able to assist with small Custom CSS changes within our premium support scope where have the budget to do so. Hopefully, the above helps you to put the necessary rule together.
Hi Andrew
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
The tools and themes from Siteorigin are so great, everyone should be using them!
Super, I’m glad to hear you were able to make progress with the Custom CSS above. Thanks for your support. If questions arise in the future, please, let us know.
Cheers for now :)
