Hi there
I’m using Pitch Premium for my site and have installed separate WordPress pages for each of my three blogs (by adding them to different databases on my subdomains of my website). So I have a portfolio front page and then other pages, with portfolio disabled so that they act as blogs, all linking back to the portfolio page.
I have two questions please!
1) My page that is acting as a blog page (portfolio disabled) only shows a bit of text and no image – with a ‘Read More’ link on the page that you have to click to see the post. I don’t want this so how can I remove it?
2) how do you add text to a header? This only seems to be an option for the page when portfolio home page is enabled
I’m slightly techie but not that much these days – so please explain as you would for a child :-)
Hi Lyn
The following inserted under Appearance > Custom CSS will hide the read more link:
Pitch unfortunately doesn’t have a header widget area or an option to insert header text. That would at this stage require custom development. Sorry I don’t have more there. Perhaps let me know what you’ve seen in the past and I’ll take a look.
That’s great, thanks for the quick response – I will try this right away.
For the other pages that I’m using as blog pages (portfolio disabled) I realised that I could add he names of the individual blogs directly onto the photos I’m using as headers. I’ve just used Word Art to put the text I wanted and this will do very nicely for now. I will possibly make something a little more professional in Photoshop when I get higher res’ pictures. But for now, as I’m still building the pages, having some ‘holding header’ with text gives me an idea of how the page will look.
Thanks again. Lyn
Sounds like it should come out nicely! All the best.
