Hi,
I am building a website. On the admin bar (just below the masthead), there is a small search icon on the far right. I’d like to remove the icon and the search function. Would appreciate if you could let me know how this can be done.
Thanks!

Hi Michelle
You can remove this from Appearance > Theme Settings > Navigation: Search in Menu.

Any chance we can get an update that works for the current version of Vantage Premium? Perhaps this should be a FAQ or something far more prominent. I have not been able to find where to turn off or better yet to customize the search tool and it looks like many people are having this issue and wasting time running through posts that don’t help.
My site uses wp-members to lock some content. The search tool pulls up content from locked pages. I realize that configuring how or if material is locked will probably require a setting on wp-members but to explore that, it would be helpful to know more about this search tool…. starting with where it gets turned on and off for all the different options…normal viewing, mobile etc.
