is it possible to unregister widgets and row layouts that came precreted with the plugin, and set up your own row layouts?

    Sure, you could unregister widgets: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/unregister_widget.

    I’m not sure we have documentation on row styling for themes yet. Below is our page on bundling pre-built layouts.
