Qtranslate X or Polylang

By et, 8 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 8 years ago.

Good moring! First of all i would like to say thanks for the plugin and second of all apologize for my english. I have all my web site with this plugin, but last week i download Qtranslate X to translate my wordpress web. The problem is that these two plugins don´t have a compatibility. Is there any option to make it work? ..

I also tried to uninstall Qtranslate X, and install Polylang… and the problem with it is that it doesn´t work in the portfolio entries. Do I have to duplicate all the posts? Also, when I change the language when i´m on the website and i keep moving in the web, it always return to the original language. Why is this? Does this two plugins work together?

Thank you very much.

    @et:

We will be more than happy to work together with SiteOrigin and make sure that the Page Builder works with our plugin, WPGlobus: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpglobus/

Please give it a try and let us know the results.

    Thank you!

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hey Gregory

      Great to hear from you.

I wish I could dive into this but we’re pretty stretched at the moment. I haven’t had a chance to check out your plugin just yet. Polylang and WPML work with Page Builder because they use a page/post per language, thereby allowing Page Builder to function normally. Perhaps take a look at Page Builder and see if there is anything that can be done: https://wordpress.org/plugins/siteorigin-panels/. We’d love to have you on board. If you’d like to chat further you can reach me on [email protected].

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi et

    Thanks for reaching out.

At the moment Page Builder is compatible with Polylang and WPML (if you want a premium plugin). Unfortunately, qTranslate X isn’t compatible with Page Builder.

Getting Polylang working with your Portfolio items would be a question best sent over to the Polylang support page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/polylang/

    Hi Andrew!

I finally download Polylang and it seems to work fine with page builder except with portfolio entries… I have tried everything but it still doesn´t work. Any information in the portfolio content displays while using polylang. Is it for sure that this two plugins works together?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad to hear you’ve made some progress.

Sorry, I haven’t ever looked at the Polylang/Portfolio entries issue. I did a quick Google search when you initially mentioned. Try searching solutions for the problem. If we can assist further with something specific, let me know :)
