Problems with “Masthead Menu” after upgrading Vantage Premium to version 2.3

Hello,

I just upgraded the Vantage Premium theme to version 2.3 and I noticed that it messed up my menu: some menu items (and subitems) disappeared – they are still there, clickable, but it seems that they´re invisible.

Some adicional information:

– I use a child theme in order to customize everything, including the masthead menu;

– I have 2 identical instalations, one locally for testing and other for production: the items that disappear are not the same in both instalations. In the production site, the problem seems to be only with the “current menu itens”. But in the local instalation, almost all menu itens (but one) disapeared.

I appreciate if you can tell me what is going on.

Thanks in advance!

ps: I had also problems to include my order number (M07551) to inicialize this thread (I sent already an e-mail for [email protected] about this). Because it´s critical to have my website up and running properly the next 2 weeks, I manage to uninstall the version 2.3 and go back to version 2.23 in the production site. Still, I´ll be waiting for your help so I can upgrade to version 2.3.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi RHM

    Sorry to hear about the hassle.

    We’d need you to run the upgrade so we could try figure out what happened. We’re not seeing a menu problem on our side. If we can see what’s going on we can try help from there.

    We made some changes to the menu in 2.3 to accommodate the popular UberMenu plugin. Please head to Appearance > Menus and ensure that your custom menu is saved to the theme’s primary menu location. I think the location setting might have been unset.

    Hi Andrew,

    As you asked me, I´ve checked (in the local deployment) if the menu is properly set as the primary location and this is ok.

    As I told you, this week and the next are crucial to have the website properly running. Yesterday, something strange happened again: after editing one page of the site, using PageBuilder and where there is just one simple “Text” widget, I saved it and, in once, the font size of the whole website has changed to a smaller size. I went to Apperance > Customize > Fonts > Content Size was set properly and it was (16, in my case). I decided to change the number to a larger value (and saw the change in the preview), went back to my original value (16) and saved it again: then, the font-size of the whole site was set back again. I tried today to replicate the problem but I couldn´t.

    I know you and Greg are doing your best to solve this situation but I don´t feel confortable right now to upgrade the production site (www.beyourheart.nl) to version 2.3. I could do it just after this critical week is gone. Meanwhile, I decided to take screenshots of the local deployment to show you the problem (because I can´t attach a pdf here, I sent it per e-mail). I hope you can have an idea, checking also how I customized everything in the production site..

    I hope you can understand my situation.

    Thanks again. Kind regards.
