Problems migrating site to production

Hello,

We develop all our sites in a dev environment and then use BackWPup to package the site and then move to wpengine.com. During development we use a temporary domain (i.e. dev22.domain.com) and then when we move to production we run the interconnect/it search/replace script (https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/) on the database in production to change the domain. Normally this works great but we just started using Page Builder and put it on a site and when we run the migration script to change the domain, pages that use Page Builder loose all their formatting. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ken

    Hi, I Work Here

Hey Ken. This is a serious issue for some Page Builder users at the moment, we’re aware of it and will hopefully have a solution out this year. Right now Page Builder (PB) doesn’t migrate correctly via DB import/export and requires users to use the WordPress import/export tool. That does work correctly. Can you please check Mike’s solution here and let me know if that’s any use to you: https://siteorigin.com/thread/migration-from-local-to-server/. Apologies for the hassle.
