Hi guys,
I’ve been working on this problem for a whole month but still can’t figure out what’s causing it.
I’m managing a wordpress site that was once under the management of a real programmer, while I’m just an IT technician, and now he is nowhere to be found and this problem occurred:
When in my homepage i scroll to where the article preview should be I only see 3 white columns with article name and the icon of an image (like it’s missing, but there shouldn’t be one), but no preview text of the article itself. Also I can’t search for new plugins, if I go to “add plugin” it shows only the popular ones, but if I try and search for a new one I only get an infinite loading screen. I’m using WP 5.8.2 and I have these plugins activated:
Advanced custom field PRO, Better Search Replace, Contact Form 7, Duplicate post, Duplicator, Easy WP SMTP, GDPR Cookie Compliance, Health Check & Troubleshooting, Page Builer, Regenerate Thumbnails, Simple Custom Post Order, WP-Optimize, Yoast SEO.
I can’t update them so if you want to know the version ask away.
I really need your help
Hi Support
Also I can’t search for new plugins
This is is worth solving on its own. Other issues might be resolved by fixing this. Please, try a baseline test. Temporarily deactivate all plugins. In that state, does the new plugin search field work? If the issue persists, leave all plugins deactivated and temporarily change to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. In that state does the new plugin search function. The initial goal of this test is to find a working baseline which if found provides a foundation for further testing.
