Problem with polylang and menu in Vantage Premium Theme

Hi,

I use polylang plugin to have a multilanguage site. I used it with another themes in the past, and no problems. With Vantage theme I can use it without problems, but today I’ve finished the translations. Then, the last thing to do to finish my web is to configure the menus in the another 3 languages. I can create it without problems, and assign each language with its corresponding menu. The problem is when I visit my web and change the language. The default language no problem, but when I clicked at the flag language to change, the new page in the other language loads perfect in that language, but the menu disappears and its impossible to use it to visit another sections. The only thing that I can do it is return to the previous page and visit the web in the default language. I tried to solve it but I have not found the problem. Any suggestions to solve the problem?

Thank you and sorry for my english.

    Hi Marcos

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

    Hi Marcos

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Ok,

I create a temporary admin account for you. Please, be careful because I create this site for a customer and I have a confidentiality agreement with them.

If you want to access to WP Backend, you must use Login in menu bar,
because I protect the site deleting option …./wp-admin. But only in spanish version you can see this item in the menu bar. If you have problems to enter in the backend, please, contact with me and I will send you an alternative link to enter.

    Thanks.

    Regards.

    Hi, I Work Here

At this stage, we’re still unsure what the problem is.

We tried testing with only Polylang and then only Polylang and your SSL plugin activated. This caused a redirection loop when accessing the site. Do you have any idea why this might be the case? Testing with only Polylang activated would allow us to rule out a plugin conflict.

Perhaps you could activate Twenty Fifteen theme, reassign menu location settings and see if the problem persists in Twenty Fifteen. That would tell us if it’s a Polylang or theme issue.

    Hi,

I used the SSL plugin only when I activate the SSL certificate in my hosting to test which pages of the site had problems. I can disabled and delete this plugin because at this moment I don´t need this. Tomorrow I will try to delete this and test without it. If the problem is not solved
I'm testing with Twenty Fifteen Theme and Polylang only, I will tell you if it's a conflict with Polylang or with the Theme.

Bye and thanks for your help. Now I can´t do anymore because here it's very late at night, 2:45 am. Good Night!

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks, that’ll be great, thanks for the effort. Let us know how the testing goes.

    Hi,

today I can't test disabling plugins and using Twenty Fifteen Theme and
Polylang only, because I have too much work. I would try tomorrow if my work allows me. Anyway I'll report you the results obtained.

Thanks for your help and support.

Hi and good night here (1:46am) ;)

I use a local version of the web to disable plugins and change the theme.
With Vantage theme and Polylang plugin, no problem, the menu loads perfect in the 4 languages. Then, the problem is not the Theme or Polyland, I disabled one by one the plugins and I detect the problem. The problem was in WP Customer Area plugin, but I need to use it. When I discovered the problem I think, wow, that plugin uses a menu to show a private area, I must define to this menu one language per position menu, and voilá, the problem is solved. It's an easy solution when I detect the problem, but complicated if someone don´t know that this plugin has a menu that must be configurated with Polylang in the same way as any other menu.

Thanks for your support and problem is solved.

    Regards.

    Hi, I Work Here

That’s a fantastic result, I didn’t think to check that plugin. I’m sure someone else will find this information useful.

All the best with your site.
