For some reason my side panel to edit does not view the options to edit like in the tutorials instead it says
in place of text size, text color, etc. , anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi J2BFit

    Thanks for reaching out.

At AppearanceCustom CSS are you clicking the eye icon to open the visual editor?

Yes, but for some reason it does not say what I’m editing, and it doesn’t make edits

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. I’m not quite following, if you could perhaps take a screenshot of the issue, upload to imgur.com or similar and send us the link, that’ll be helpful.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. I’m not sure what the cause of that is. Please, try checking for a working baseline. Temporarily deactivate all non-SiteOrigin plugins and temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. In that state, does the issue persist?

We are not able to do that the site has just been made live.

    Hi, I Work Here

One method of running a plugin conflict test on a live site is to pick a low traffic time of the day or night and make use of a maintenance mode plugin. Many issues don’t produce a distinct error which is why a plugin/theme conflict test is necessary to see if a working baseline can be found. The test as outlined takes a few minutes at most.

You can try checking for JavaScript errors, they’ll be in red: https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis. Additionally, you can enable debugging and check for PHP errors: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/.
