My problem is rather simple but also annoys quite a bit.
I used page builder to set up the loop of my website below a Header Image of the latest post. Before the update the “Read more” tags of the editor were interpreted correctly and I just had short excerpts in the loop. Now after updating to the latest version all the “Read more” tags are ignored and I get a very inconvenient long stream of all the extended posts one after the other.
Please fix that or tell me how to get that setting back. I really liked the simple approach to that and now I have to either rebuild the site using different tools or hope for your feedback on how to solve this issue.

Same here with a Vantage Child Theme: http://pv-prutting-vogtareuth.de/. I can change Theme Settings: Post Content to Excerpt, but that’s a poor workaround as it only cuts of the text. I do want my more-button! – I’ve tried returning to previous backups, but the problem persists. I’m using Post Loop (PB) widget on a static start page (Page Builder Home Template).

hello again i have tried what you suggested and still not working. i rolled back 2 versions to 14.10 and also installed the child theme still the same

to content.php and it does the trick.
I don’t have a content.php in my Origami Theme. And I can’t see what to add there, I just get a solid black block in the comment.
Also since the last update my “featured Image” block on the Home Page disappeared.
And WordPress constantly reminds me of 1.6 update for Origami, but the update function just breaks when trying to open the “empty archive” as the updater puts it. On the Website I can only find the Origami 1.5.x version of the theme.
Can I wait for a fix in the near future? Or do I have to look for another theme, that works better?

Joram, the solid black block I can’t help – I geht that too, when I post any code snippets code-tags as recommended below (Leave a Reply). What I added is basically the same as in http://siteorigin.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/vantage-child.zip (functions.php), which Andres posted in the thread mentioned above:
Andrew probably knows best, what content.php does and what Origami uses instead.
I still have no idea why more-tags worked before and now don’t.

The hotfix we developed was to insert the following into the functions.php of a child theme:
function theme_child_fix_more(){ if(is_front_page()) { global $more; $more = 0; } } add_action(‘template_redirect’, ‘theme_child_fix_more’);Here is an Orgiami child theme that I’ve done this in. You can try install via Appearance > Themes > Add New and see if it resolves the issue.
