preview page removes content

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

I’ve seen on two different sites where if you edit a black studio widget then click done then click preview changes it’ll clear the content from all black studio widgets on that page. If you click update then view page it doesn’t happen. It only happens when you click preview changes.

FYI I believe it started happening with 1.4.10. I was hoping 1.4.11 would fix it but it didn’t. But it was 1.4.10 when I first noticed it.

    Hi Daniel

Please can you assist us by checking two things.

    1. Does this happen if you turn off all plugin except for Page Builder and Black Studio?
    2. Does this still happen if you switch themes to one of the default WordPress themes?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    WordPress – Version 4.0–de_DE
Page Builder by SiteOrigin – Version 1.5.3
Black Studio TinyMCE Widget – Version 2.0.4

We have a similar problem. When we insert content in Page Builder and then press “Preview” all the content after the first row is lost. If we press “Update” the content is saved and can be viewed.

How can we debug the “preview” process? Is the content saved when pressing “done” in the Page Builder or when pressing the “Preview” button?

    Thanks

      Hi netengine

Thanks. The fact that Preview is Saving/Updating the post/page is a new bug that we logged this week. It will be attended to as soon as possible. I’m not sure what we’ll do with the Preview process from here. It’s been a constant challenge. Two options under consideration are having our own Preview button that we’re able to control, if that doesn’t pan out and the default Preview process can’t be fixed we might drop the Preview ability for Page Builder until a solution can be found.
