Hi everyone,
I’m working on a WordPress blog using the Vantage theme, and I wanted to show more than the first two lines of a blog post. Where could I edit that? Also, if possible, I’d like to edit how many lines of text show depending on whether it has a featured image or not.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
Hi Katherine
Vantage Blog settings can be found under Appearance > Theme Settings > Blog. You have two choices, if you set your blog content to display the full content you can then use the WordPress more tag to separate you content: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/. OR you can select to display your post’s excerpt, if you select that setting the more tag won’t work and you should use the excerpt field under the Visual editor. If it’s not there, click Screen Options top right to and select the Excerpt checkbox to display it.
There are also featured image settings under Appearance > Theme Settings > Blog.
