Hello,
I’m looking at SiteOrigin page builder because I’m considering making a switch from Thrive Themes. It has a few issues that we’re having trouble reconciling.
I’m curious as to whether I can build pages with the same effect as one like this https://www.kyleads.com/blog/podcast-hosting/.
It’s relatively simple looking but it has a few customizations such as the way images have a shadow and blocks having specific colored backgrounds and the comparison table.
Is that possible with SiteOrigin page builder (quick yes or no before I invest time and energy playing around with it)?
Also, is it a true front end editor meaning I type text, hit save, and that’s what I get or does it load the WP text editor for me to type text?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Dndukwu
Thanks for reaching out.
Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle doesn’t have a feature to add drop-shadows to images. You add background colors to rows, cells or widgets. You could perhaps use the Price Table widget in the Widgets Bundle to build a comparison table. We don’t currently have a dedicated comparison table widget. You can also extend the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle with Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets.
Page Builder is based within the WordPress Editor, it offers a Live Editor mode but the widget and then page still need to be saved.
If you have any follow-up questions, please, let us know.
A quick note that SiteOrigin Premium extends Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle but the core functionality is based within those plugins meaning it isn’t necessary to make a purchase if you’d like to test features and functionality.
