any tips on what I can do to make the blog post title overlay the featured image? like exposure.co does

    It’s unfortunately not something that can be easily achieved using the options in Origami. You can however try adding our Masonry Plugin:

    Alternatively our Snapshot theme does do a title overlay: http://demo.siteorigin.com/snapshot/
