Plugin Not Working*

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hello,

First of all, I just wanted to say how much I love your plugin! Second, I’m getting an error when trying to edit:

“This widget has scripts and styles that need to be loaded before you can use it. Please save and reload your current page.

You will only need to do this once.”

.. But I’ve reloaded the page and its still broken?
Please help!
Thanks

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

We do our best to respond quickly. Our forum queue is prioritised; if you’d like to find out more about how that works, please, see: https://siteorigin.com/about/forum-thread-prioritization/.

The error you’re seeing is caused by a plugin conflict, please, try the following test and resolution steps below:

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

Here is a list of active plugins.

Can you guess at which one it may be?

Let’s start with clearing WP Super Cache from the plugins’ setting page and then de-activating it. I find you need to clear the cache of caching plugins before de-activating them. If that doesn’t help, go-ahead with the bulk de-activation barring SiteOrigin plugins.

Ok. I disabled WP Super Cache and its still not working. What’s next on your list of possible conflict plugins? I would disable all, if this wasn’t a Live site we are dealing with.

If WP Super Cache didn’t help, move onto running a full plugin conflict test. You can follow those steps in my initial reply. Let us know how you come along.

Back online again tomorrow and can assist further from there. Hopefully the full plugin conflict test will reveal where the issue lies.
