Pitch Theme: How do I merge the Portfolio Home Page with another page?

By BFPS, 9 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 9 years ago.

Where do I need to go in order to make edits on the Portfolio Home Page?

If there isn’t a way to edit the page, how could I incorporate/merge certain elements from the Portfolio Home Page (e.g. slider and call to action) into another page that I created?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi BFPS

If you’re referring to this page here: http://demo.siteorigin.com/pitch/project/. It’s unfortunately not editable, it lists posts added to the Projects custom post type but doesn’t have any configurable options.

Similarly, the home page is unfortunately also not editable: http://demo.siteorigin.com/pitch/. Those elements are specific to the home page.

Sorry we don’t have more here.

If it’s not editable, that’s okay, but I was hoping to add the “call to action” widget to the page I created. I know how to add the slider, but how would I be able to add that?

    Hi, I Work Here

It’s unfortunately not a widget, it’s a text field in theme settings, that field is rendered in the home page template.

If you use our Page Builder plugin you can use the Call to Action widget that’s part of our Widgets Bundle:

I see what happened. For some reason the call to action widget comes disabled by default, no wonder it wasn’t showing up for me. Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad to hear you found that. The Bundle is much like Jetpack, not everything is activated out the box.
