Pitch Premium – Full Width Page with Slider

Resolved 8 replies premiumthemetheme-pitch

I am trying to get a full width page with the slider at the top and the page content below the slider.
I can get the page with Page Attribute > Template > Full Width. And I can get the slider with Page Attribute > Template > Home.
Can someone point me in the right direction, or point out the forum thread that would answer that question, please?
Thanks.

    Hi Uwe,

You can leave the Page Attribute> Template as Full Width. When using Pitch premium, you are able to set the slider to any post, page, etc. The instructions here should help you: Page: Home Page Slides

    Cheers!

    Thanks for your reply.

I am still missing something apparently. Since I have tried following those instructions several times and am not getting anywhere, I am going to post what I am doing step by step, what I am noticing, and raise a question.

1.) Created the page: Pages > Add New. The page permalink is as follows: http://localhost/skylineroofingal.com/?page_id=8
2.) Gave the page a Title and some body
3.) Under Page Attributes, set the following:
    Parent:no parent
    Template:Full Width
    Order:0
4.) Created a slide: Slides > Add New
5.) Gave the slide a Title, Excerpt, and Featured Image
6.) Under Attributes and Destination, set following:
    Order:0
    Destination Post:8
7.) Repeated steps 4-6 to add a second slide

With these settings, the page body shows the body, but no slides. If I go back to page attributes and change the template to “Home”, the slides show, but no message body.

One thing that I am noticing…
1.) I actually have two pages set up this way (and acting the same way) and each of the pages is to have two slides. All of the slides are showing up on both pages when in the Home mode.

    And now the question…
1.) Are there setting somewhere else that may be effecting this?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Uwe

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi Uwe

Hopefully I’m understanding your request. Pitch unfortunately isn’t as flexible as our Vantage theme. The slider is specific to the home page, the home page also isn’t freely editable with the slider. The home page automatically renders:

    Features
    Projects
    Posts
    Clients

    Demo: http://demo.siteorigin.com/pitch/

The above are all custom post types which can be found in the main WordPress menu along with slides.

Apologies for the confusion, assuming I’m understanding your question correctly.

Our Vantage theme is a lot more flexible and will allow a Meta Slider (plugin) to be selected for each page.

In the event you’d like to consider changing themes, we could move your license at no charge.
