Pitch Premium: Dropdown options not selectable in Firefox

I use pitch premium on my website (http://singmann.org/) for quite a while now and am generally very happy with it. However, I recently realized that on Firefox I am not easily able to select the dropdown options in the top menu. As soon as I move the mouse from the main menu option downwards to select a specific item, the list with the dropdown options disappears. This does not seem to happen in Chrome.

Can you please let me know if there is anything I can do about it?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Henrik ,

I’m not able to replicate this locally so I suspect it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

By the way; as you’re a Vantage Premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on this page. Please reference this thread.

    Hi Alex,

I have played around a little with my settings and it seems the issue is the “Scale Main Menu” setting of Pitch. I have now disabled it and the problem went away. Once enabled, it reappears.

It seems like stretching creates a border around the top menu buttons which are not there when non-stretched. And when the mouse hoovers over this border the pull down menu disappears. When disabling the stretching the border disappears and the pull down menu stays.

Can you replicate this? (And could you see the previous problem on my site?)

Thanks for the help. And as your response was fast I am happy with the current support.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Henrik,

Yes, I was able to see it on your site, and I was able to replicate this locally. I’m going to log this as an issue in our issue tracker. Thank you for reporting this issue, and for writing such a detailed guide on how to replicate this.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Henrik,

I’ve been informed that we, unfortunately, don’t have future development plans with Pitch due to WordPress policy changes which prevent us from hosting it there. I would strongly suggest changing to one of our newer themes as they will all be supported for years to come and they feature much more desirable functionality. I’m sorry. :(

With that said, here’s how you can fix this issue with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.

    ul#mainmenu-menu ul.sub-menu {    top: 51px !important;}

You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks, that worked.
