[Performance] Widgets are loaded on every page

Hey,

thanks again for your great Work on the Widget Bundle and Pagebuilder.

I am using it a lot. I have one question related to the performance of a client site. We have about 40 custom Widgets that are loading a lot of data for the Widget Options. Related to this, loading the Widgets on every page is a massive performance problem in the Front- and Backend.

Is there a chance to optimize this?

    Ouu, it would be amazing if it didn’t reload the sidebar every time. I too, would like this!

    Hi Markus

    As we move things forward, performance is definitely going to be a key area we focus on. Especially as more developers start building their own widgets on top of the Widgets Bundle base.

    I’ve logged this as an issue on Github, this is where we’ll discuss progress and ideas there:

        It’s just going take a fair whack of coding time. Hopefully we’ll have some time available after this holiday season.
