Pages aren’t appearing correctly

By jackrosetti, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

Hi, all. I recently installed the SiteOrigin plugin for SNO. I manage a journalism site. Basically, I laid everything out the exact way I wanted. However, when I go to the permalink, none of it is the same. It’s completely different and shows the same exact stories. Am I missing out on something obvious? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks so much.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jack,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Also, would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

https://eyeofthetigernews.com/news is the link to the site. https://u.teknik.io/TKo07.json is for the layout. Thanks so much for your help.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jack,

I’m not familiar with the widgets you’re using, are you including other pages through these widgets? I ask as none of the SiteIirgin Page Builder Styling is loading and the markup suggests there a few different pages present. The former is very common for when pages are being indirectly added through widgets or plugins.

If you use a non-SNO widget with a new page, does this issue occur?

    Hello Alex,

The widgets I’m using are currently “category display” and they are through SNO. I have not tried to use SiteOrigin widgets yet. Basically, I wanted to build an entirely new page because SNO doesn’t allow for that much freedom (ugh). So I got the siteorigin plugin to totally customize the layout. Whenever I log out of wordpress, though, the pages don’t appear as I’d like them to. Do you think my problem is the widgets?

Again, thank you so much for your help. Really appreciate it.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jack,

Unfortunately, the problem appears to be due to your widgets. :(
I would recommend trying standard SiteOrigin Widgets to verify this.
