Pagebuilder content appears in text and visual admin editors but not in pagebuilder view when moving server

When uploading a site from wamp dev environment to live server the content displays in the text and visual editor windows but not in the pagebuilder view. I’ve done extensive testing and research and it definitely has something to do with the url change in the post meta table in the database. If the path changes pagebuilder breaks on the new server. For instance if I develop in wamp using http://localhost/mysite as url and I modify the post meta database table and change to a live url such as http://www.mysite.com then pagebuilder breaks.

What is the solution to fix this?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Louis

This is something we are working hard to correct. Unfortunately Page Builder content does not move well via database import/export. At this stage you will need to use the WordPress import/export function found under tools.

    Apologies for the hassle.

Thanks for the response Andrew, much appreciated.

I haven’t had time to test the WordPress import/export feature to see that it works correctly, but I assume that once I export the xml file from my local version I can do a simple search and replace the local url with the live url and then import the new xml on the live server and it will work fine?

    Hi Louis

That’s it. Images are the only reason I can think to do a search and replace. There of course might be a plugin out there to handle the same task for you.

i am having the same issue. i develop locally using WP 3.9 over XAMPP.
locally, pages built in “page builder” work perfectly, but when i export db, update scripts and reimport db, the pages do not appear the way they should.
    awaiting your feedback. thanks
