I use imagemapper (https://wordpress.org/plugins/imagemapper/) to display an imagemap on my site. Unfortunately after upgrading my plugins and wordpress (to 4.0) the (available?) width of the imagemap is not correctly computed anymore:
* With Pagebuilder by SiteOrigin version 1.4.7, wordpress 3.8.2 and imagemapper 1.2.2 the imagemap is correctly scaled and the side bar is displayed next to the imagemap.
* With Pagebuilder version 1.5.3 , wordpress 4.0 and imagemapper 1.2.2 the imagemap is too wide to display the sidebar next to the imagemap, so the sidebar is displayed below the imagemap.
* With Pagebuilder version 1.4.7 (old), wp 4.0 and imagemapper 1.2.2, the imagemap is displayed correct.
* With newest versions and pagebuilder disabled, the imagemap is displayed correctly
I don’t know if it is a imagemap or pagebuilder issue (I guess imagemap uses a screensize variable which is not available in the latest version anymore). Mayebe imagemapper should fix it, but also maybe more plugins are affected.
(I also posted a similar question on the forum of imagemapper: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/2105993)
Hi Jaap-Andre
Sorry to hear about the hassle. Please can you send through a link to the page concerned. , I’ll take a look at the page and see if there is any way we can resolve with Custom CSS.
Hi,
Thanks for your reaction.
http://test.data-assist.nl/ has the latest plugin activated and a too wide imagemap
http://www.data-assist.nl has an older version (1.4.7) of pagebuiler and is working correct.
I think the width is calculated in
http://test.data-assist.nl/wp-content/plugins/imagemapper/script/jquery.imagemapster.min.js?ver=4.0
Little addendum:
The problem is only if the imagemap is on the homepage
same imagemap on http://test.data-assist.nl/?page_id=99 is displayed correct
The size of the image is being outputted into the inline HTML. I’d imagine that’s coming from the plugin. I’m not entirely sure why that’s happening.
Please try this. Head to Pages > Home and ensure the page template is set to Default.
Jep the template is set to default template
We had a bug like this but I believe we’ve fixed it. Please check that there are no updates pending under Dashboard > Updates. Page Builder should be on 1.5.3. The issue is that the Default template is not properly rendered on the home page. If you do upgrade head back to Pages > Home and set the Default template again.
