deregister scripts and styles

Hi, i would like to deregister / dequeue some unused scripts from the so-widgets-bundle like jquery.cycle.min.js jquery.slider.min.js js-map.min.js carousel.min.js what is the best way to do this. I tried wp_deregister_script or wp_dequeue_script in the functions.php can you help me? Thanks…
