Page Width Issue (tablet)

Hi,

I have an issue with Corp Theme.

I have a margin-right on my website. So next to Header and Footer there is a space of approx. 50 px with the background. Doesn´t matter if I choose a color or an image.

And now the most interesting point:
This is ONLY visible on an iPAD (tablet). Mobile and Desktop are fine.

So on iPAD for example you can “drop” the page to the right and it is not “fixed”.

And it is also visible when using WordPress “Customize” Design Preview. There is a scroll bar visible where you can scroll to the right.

But this is also not visible using Custom CSS preview.

I cannot find any solution. I tried several CSS snippets for max-width and so on, also found in this board. Nothing helps.

Any ideas?

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Don´t know what happened to the link. Just take the last part.

    Thanks for the update.

You can perhaps start by checking the Features Widget section containing “Formulare”. If I remove all Custom CSS the issue resolves. Ideally, that section needs to fit better for tablets. Using Media Queries you could expand your Custom CSS reducing the heading size.

Alternatively, you could try adjusting the Features Widget breakpoint from PluginsSiteOrigin WidgetsFeatures: Settings.

This Feature Widget was added today – so after that issue already had been present.

When able please try testing the page with all customs CSS temporarily removed. That’ll help isolate the issue. If the issue resolved you can add your custom CSS back progressively to isolate when the issue occurs.

After removing Custom CSS the margin is still there!

With your Custom CSS removed, the horizontal scrollbar at tablet resolutions is no longer present for me. Try clearing your caching plugin and then confirming in a different browser or private browsing window.

Definitely not. Still there after cache clearing etc

I now changed the menu collapse again to 1000 px. Now the margin disappears when the tablet uses the mobile menu. So I suppose we have a navigation issue here,

If I disable the Header menu in Customizer the scroll bar disappears…

Thanks for the update. If you could perhaps take a screenshot indicating the issue and upload it to imgur.com or any cloud site and send the link,
that’ll be great. I’ll take a look tomorrow and get back to you then.

Have a good rest of your night.

Also a sticky header resolves the issue. But I do not want to use that.

I created a new menu. That was the problem.

    Now it is fine.

Super, glad to hear you’ve made progress.

    All the best.
