Hi,
I run a site within a very competitive SEO environment and page speed is one of the key elements in this game. I am currently considering switching to SiteOrigin, but I would like som more insights on the optimization done in regards to page speed. Furthermore, could anyone give an example of a very fast site using SiteOrigin?
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Kind regards,
Rasmus / Moneytalk.dk
Hi Ramus
Thanks for posting.
I, unfortunately, don’t have any example sites that have been optimized for speed.
Corp is the most recent theme we’ve developed. We’re using a slimmed down icon library (just the icons the theme uses) which could be dequeued if you like. The theme’s stylesheet is minified by default. If you’re making use of WooCommerce, we aren’t loading the default WooCommerce styles, only our own. This is most likely our quickest theme. A lot of what determines page speed would be done later such as concatenating all the scripts and styles, that isn’t something we’re able to do at a theme level and still submit to the WordPress theme directory due to the rules that dictate what is plugin territory and what is theme territory.
Good luck with your search :)
