Page Builder Tab missing

10 years ago · Last reply by Marc Bordeleau 10 years ago

Hi, After having problems with another plugin ‘Smart Slider’ where I had to update the ‘Google Fonts API Key’ in order to make it works, it seems that every thing is fine now except for Page builder.
Il is still in my plugin list as ‘active’ but it does not show up when editing pages. I don’t see the tab so I just can’t use it anymore..??
What could be the problem..? Thanks in advance

    Hi Marc

Can you double check that you have Pages enabled in the Page Builder settings. So navigate to Settings > Page Builder in your WordPress admin. Under that, you should see a tab called General and a setting called Post Types. Make sure Pages is selected there.

Another thing to check is the screen settings. When editing a page, at the top you should see a tab called Screen Options. Make sure that Page Builder is selected there.

    Hi Greg,

I double checked and the settings seem to be OK. But when editing a page, at the top I see the tab Screen Option and the Help tab and both of them are not responding when I click on them..????This is something new to me. And it does that with Edge, Firefox or chrome. So definately there is something (like a plugin) interacting with Page Builder but I just can’t find what it is..I need some help…!

    Hi Marc

You could run a plugin conflict test.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Hi Greg

After following ‘step by step’ your precious advices, everything went back to normal again. I am not sure what exactly was in conflict, but some plugin was.
    Thank you verymuch.
