Page Builder not working with new WP update

Resolved 24 replies pluginplugin-page-builder

When I click I click on a page “Page Builder” is no longer a tab at the top. It’s at the bottom and there is no content in it. Instead I have Visual and Text tabs and when I edit those and then click update, it does not update on the site.

HELP!

    Hi Wdf43944

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

I tried disabling the non-site origin plugins. It did not fix the issue.

I’m not terribly worried about Page Builder not working as I am not being able to update information….

If I deactivate Page Builder the pages will update, but then they look awful because the page builder layouts are gone. I tried deactivating PB, updating info, and reactivating PB and that didn’t work either.

    Hi Wdf43944

Something else you could try is to delete and reinstall Page Builder. It’s possible that some Page Builder files were damaged during the WordPress 4.3 update.

  6. wdf43944 10 years, 5 months ago

    That didn’t work either.

    Hi Wdf43944

    Please, try the following:

    1. Run all pending updates at Dashboard > Updates. Update the WP core if an update is there and everything else.
    2. De-activate all plugins except Page Builder (again :) ) and then re-test.

If the above fails, send a set of temp login details and we’ll take a look. Instructions for that to follow.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

I’ve re-activated all of your plugins and Page Builder seems to be loading as per normal. Can you confirm that you’re still seeing the problem?

No, not with the new WP system. The user sets it. I just posted that privately (only we can see it) in case we need it again.

Ok, maybe I’m just unaware of where to go to manipulate Page Builder after the update…Maybe it’s not a problem, maybe I just am missing what I’m used to seeing…

  16. Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 5 months ago

Nothing should have changed in that regard. The Page Builder tab should still be next to Visual/Text.

  17. wdf43944 10 years, 5 months ago

    Yeah, mines not.

For a second, Page Builder appears below the editor, then it restores to it’s position.

What browser are you testing with?
How’s your Internet connection at the moment? Good?

  19. wdf43944 10 years, 5 months ago

    Chrome… great connection, good speed.

Try logging in from an Incognito window or clearing your browser cache.

  21. wdf43944 10 years, 5 months ago

It works fine in Safari.. works fine in incognito page… THANK YOU!

Makes me mad I didn’t think to change browsers. I did clear my cache before but I guess that didn’t matter then. ROOKIE MISTAKE not checking first.

Really glad to hear you made progress. This is a super sneaky little situation, not common at all.

All the best with your site :)

    Hi there !
I´v got the same problem. Disabled all plugins – no results, safari or incognito mode also not working.

Is it a possible to get the pre-version maybe ?

    Regards
    Aleksey
