page builder just not working

page builder is just not working. ive tried everything – reinstalling wordpress, changing themes (and coming back to vantage with no difference) and disabling all plugins, and still does not work. Just i turned on the computer and voila it had stopped working. I only see the default visual/text tab when i click on page edit and page builder appears in a new window underneath, disconnected from the editor and does not function in the slightest.
There were some updates today, including i think a wp update. Could that have something to do with it?

    Please run any available updates at Dashboard > Updates. If the issue is still not resolved then please run through the steps outlined here:
